Social responsibility

Bergen Plastics is proud sponsors of Bergen Swim Club.

BSC is an aspiring team with well above thousand active members. It’s
Norway’s oldest swimming club, and has produced both national champions and olympic contestants. Bergen Plastics see parallels with the club’s lofty goals and dynamic organizational running.

Bergen Plastics harvest inspiration from sports. Just like the athletes we
endorse, Bergen Plastics need to perform our very best in order to drive innovation and satisfy customers. The athletes performances are an inspiration to us, and a reminder to always strive for excellence through hard work and commitment.

UN Global Compact

Bergen Plastics are part of the UN Global Compact, an initiative to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions that advance societal goals.

The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate citizenship initiative with 10.000 corporate participants and other stakeholders over 130 countries with two objectives: “Mainstream the ten principles in business activities around the world” and “Catalyse actions in support of broader UN goals, such as the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The UN Global Compact was announced by then UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan in an address to the World Economic Forum on January 31, 1999, and was officially launched at UN Headquarters in New York on July 26, 2000.

Bergen Plastic joined the initiative in 2011. As an international stakeholder, we must ensure good working practices and conditions throughout our organization. This also includes our suppliers and partners.
